I’m a surgeon by training, intensivist by trade, and photographer by avocation.

I go back to a time when I loaded into cassettes the film I bought in bulk, and after shooting, I loaded said film into developing tanks, hung the developed film out to dry, made contact sheets, and then spent hours working on a single print. I miss the smell of Dektol in the morning. And I went for years refusing to go digital, because that was cheating.

I came around, clearly. Whether we paint with photons or electrons we are still painters—hence the name of this site. Here is where I share some of the images I have made because…what else is the purpose of art?

I welcome any and all observations you may be inclined to make.
